Saccopoo Memorial Draft Forum>Give me your ideal first 3 rounds
staylor26 10:06 AM 04-08-2024
1. Adonai Mitchell - it's him or Worthy, but after signing Brown and cutting MVS, more size and a true X would be ideal.

2. Kiran Amegadjie - perfect guy to draft after signing a stop gap like Donovan Smith. This would probably allow Morris to be your replacement for Smith or Thuney.

3. Renardo Green - this feels like a sweet spot to draft Sneed's replacement. Green is underrated and would be a steal here.

Round 1

Xavier Worthy
Ladd McConkey
Troy Franklin

Round 2

Kingsley Suamataia
Kiran Amegadjie
Patrick Paul
Ricky Pearsall

Round 3

Jaylen Wright
Xavier Legette
DJ James

Of course, we do not know how this will fall or what Veach is thinking so anything can happen. Moving up to #16 is a lot to think about but, Vech does what Veach does best - DRAFT like a BOSS! :-) Coming sooner than later CHIEFS fans :-)

We have no LT right now. Until that changes it has to be the first option at 32 unless something crazy lucky falls our way. The only times Pat can’t be Pat is when both tackles sucked.

BTJ is the perfect combination of size and speed to satisfy every Chief's fans WR wishes. Why settle for Coleman (size) or Worthy (speed) when you can have both! I'm kind of surprised he's not considered the target yet by Chiefs kingdom. We have extra picks to spend, a history of moving up to target our guys, he's the closest thing to a true #1 and projected to be within reach. Today our WR core feels a bit empty, add BTJ tomorrow and we're complete: BTJ's our elite size/speed #1, Brown's our other elite speed deep threat #2, Rice is our tough over the middle YAC #3, Toney's our lighting strike gadget + KR/PR'er, Watson adds another deep threat and Moore had a nice route in the SB that one time. That squad's ready for a 3-peat!

Just my .02c.

With my personal opinion on Fautanu, Jeremiah having him as his 11th overall prospect, Brugler having him as his 9th overall prospect, and Zeurlein having him as his 16th overall prospect, I see absolutely no way in hell he's available at 16. I'm eliminating Fautanu as a realistic possibility. He would be choice 1 though IF he were there.

I see no reason whatsoever to draft an RT in this class. Everyone has their opinions but mine is you can throw Latham, Fuaga, Guyton, and Mims into that bag. I'm not especially interested with Taylor on board.

Thomas is the only WR I'm considering moving up for and I wouldn't want to use a 1st or 2nd from next year's draft to do it because I think the LT class next year has a chance to be better. I don't think the overall OT class is better, just so we're straight.

This team doesn't have a ton of needs but an elite weapon for this year would be a huge boost to the chances of a 3-peat, especially with the Rice situation and how that could play out. We can dick the dog and sign Donovan Smith again.

3-95 TE Jared Wiley - TCU - 6'6" 249

Giving you my first 3 picks since I'm trading away the 2nd rounder.

Going against all I believe in to get Pat a "hyper-elite" weapon.
I pulled the trade off with Seattle giving up 32, 2024, and Tennesee 3rd in 2024. Both clocked in at 1931 points.

perfect.

I agree with all this, although I probably wouldn't move up for Thomas. If we get Donovan Smith back I'd almost certainly wait it out and get a WR at 32. There's a lot of RTs floating around that I'm not particularly interested in gambling on switching to LT.

I think the price to move up for a genuine LT stud is going to be too high and burn through draft capital we need to sort some sneaky needs this year and next.

My perfect first 3 rounds:

1.xx - Trade Up for Joe Alt (we traded two seconds for Alex Smith, so what's two or three firsts to protect Mahomes for the next 15 years?)
2.64 - Troy Franklin/Malachi Corley
3.95 - Brenden Rice (I know this seems like a terrible pick, after taking a WR at 64, but I really think Brenden Rice is going to be better in the NFL than he was in college, and he has experience with a QB who gets out of the pocket like Mahomes. And, I just can't ignore the bloodline. I would love to draft him, and in 5 years have people talking about how he and his dad had the better first 5 years than Marvin Harrison & Marvin Harrison Jr. I also think two wide receivers in this draft, who hit, could set us up for a lot of financial flexibility, cause we are going to need it. And that way we can kick Skyy Moore to the curb.)

But, these are probably more likely scenarios:

1.32 - Kingsley Suamataia
2.64 - Troy Franklin
3.95 - T'Vondre Sweat

Or

1.32 - Adonai Mitchell
2.64 - Patrick Paul
3.95 - Braelon Allen

We had to give up the 3rd, but you nailed the first two!
