A true legend and great spokesmen for baseball.

R.I.P. to yet another of my childhood legends.
I used to work with someone who knew those two guys who ran up to Aaron, they all were from the same small South Georgia town, Blackshear. He said they were drunk as skunks that night (shocking, I know).

How are the two guys who ran with him on #715?

I remember this happening. It was kind of a big deal in the sports world.

An all-time great who is still underrated.
If you take away all of his home runs, he still has 3000+ hits.

Brings back awesome memories; I was blessed to live at a time when I was able to watch Hammerin' Hank, Ted Williams, Stan Musial, Willie Mays, Duke Snider, Mickey Mantle, and many many more. Hank was always a class act. :-)

Hank hit HR 736 right here in KC. A towering moonshot off Al Fitzmorris.

My 8th birthday present was a wooden Louisville Slugger signature model baseball bat; Henry Aaron was etched in the barrel. Anyway, he was for sure one of my sports heroes growing up and always seemed to be a gentleman and class act. RIP.
