"While rare, we're seeing some cases where children affected with the COVID virus can become ill with symptoms similar to the Kawasaki disease or toxic shock-like syndrome that literally causes inflammation in their blood vessels," Cuomo said Friday. "This is every parent's nightmare, right? That your child may actually be affected by this virus. But it's something that we have to consider seriously now."

CBS New York reports that a young boy died late last week in Westchester County after suffering from neurological complications from what's now called pediatric multi-symptom inflammatory syndrome. The boy tested positive for coronavirus antibodies, indicating he contracted the virus at some point.

I am not sure if this has been seen with influenza, my wife wasn’t sure but I assume it is pretty rare , still horrible though. The hyper inflammatory response with this thing can definitely do some scary stuff.

I remember being sick with the flu along with the entire family when he got attacked. I had gone to watch the Chiefs/Ravens game — it was the one we won 17-10 on a Dante Hall run back (when he had like four in a row to start the season). All I could do was lay in bed and watch 24/7 coverage of Roy getting attack...

R.I.P.
