Thanks to my vape, I've had only one single cigarette in the past 3 weeks. I have zero cravings for them and I feel considerably better. In fact, I still have about 5 smokes left in a pack and just can't see myself smoking those... don't want to.
Even better... 5ml of juice, which costs $5, lasts me about 2 weeks meaning that I am spending less in the long run. I only smoked, at most, a pack a week... but still.
I tried the Blu E-Cigs but they were terrible. Trying to "smoke" out of one of those was like trying to take a hit off a joint that was rolled WAY to tight.
I'm using an eGo-V v2 mega battery with variable voltage control with a gravity tank.

AFAIK vaping THC/CBD is a low wattage thing. So there should be some really, really good devices out there at reasonable prices with great features. The circuit you need to set up is similar to the 'beginner' or MTL stuff. That Zippo vape I got with the ceramic coil should be perfect for your oil. Shoot, anything designed to mimic cigs should work. Those RDTA globes (like the Dragon Ball one) on a cheap mod would probably hit the spot nicely as you can choose to drip or just use the tank. Wow, thats fancy. Might be a little too much, even for me. I would love the ability to choose how many coils fire but I'm assuming that only works with their tank/prebuilts. That would be super convenient. Wouldn't have to worry about throwing in a new build/prebuilt. Apparently, somehow the glass on the tank darkens as the temp rises, too. At least according to the review I just read. If I hadn't just shelled out for the Reuleaux and Tenderfoots I might've looked into this more. [Reply]

I'm not sure how they handle the multiple firing settings. I would think that it's something in the mod but that the coils would have to be compatible with their system, if not only the proprietary ones like you're saying. Yeah I noticed that darkening tank. This thing is presented like such a toy, lol. It's tempting and it's not all that expensive. I'm on a 'keep it simple' kick right now though. I had to completely change how I vape to avoid smoking. I can still go for flavor and clouds with what I have on hand if I want. I still do that every once in a while. But right now I am hard after the cig mimic vape. Using that Zippo, that Evod Pro, and I have a Nautilus X tank coming in day after tomorrow for my Sigelei Fuchai. [Reply]
My problem with the "cig mimic" vape is that it seems to work best on low watt builds. Low watts means less vapor/juice which means higher nic content. My throat just can't handle high nic for some reason. I hack up a lung. So high watts/low nic is the best way for me to get my nic fix. Way easier on my throat/lungs. I can stick to 3mg juice that way. [Reply]

Are you sure it's not the PG bothering your throat? Those low wattage set ups tend to go higher PG because the coils can't handle the thicker fluids. The Nautilus X atomizer is going to be lower on flavor than a sub ohm but the juice ports are huge, and should be able to handle higher VG. I have no idea though, if it's the nic bothering you then yeah, it's a problem. [Reply]
Here's a pic of the X coils where you can see the juice hole. There is one on each side. I've heard reviewers saying that they can handle 100% VG liquid:
I have been using 50/50 or even a little higher PG than that to get a harsher throat hit, and I have been using about a 12 on nic with the cig mimic vaping. That's lower than I used to start with. I think I went 24, 18, 12 for above ohm vaping. I remember giving myself slight nic poisoning when I first tried sub ohming because I had 12 in there. [Reply]

Yeah, I tried experimenting with different ratios with no luck. I have a 70/30 PG/VG 3mg nic in my Combo that I don't have any problems with. [Reply]

Well, shit. Can't be the PG if you're going 70 with no problem. [Reply]

Yeah, its a bummer. I think a setup like you run would be my best bet to actually quit. My throat just won't cooperate. I fall off the wagon every once in awhile with what I'm doing now. [Reply]

Something to think about: Keep two stealth mods. One that mimics a cig for when you really want one badly. One that will deliver the nic when you are fiending for the drug itself. Teslacigs Stealth 100 Watt (sub ohm) can be had for just the mod for about 30 bucks, the mod and tank for about 40 bucks.
I know it has a built in battery (which I hate) but it's a 2200 mAh LiPo battery. It's the same as the others-you don't adjust anything. Power depends on battery level. But it has all the safety features of a regulated mod:
Features and Specs:
Unique Stealth Tank Design
Submerged Atomizer Design
Only Compatible with 22.5mm in Diameter and Smaller Tanks
Dimensions: 2-3/4" x 1-7/8" x 1"
510 Threaded
Built-In 2200mAh LiPo Battery
Self-Regulated - Wattage Output Based on Resistance (Wattage is NOT Adjustable)
Maximum Power Output: 100W
Maximum Voltage Output: 4.2V
Maximum Current Output: 40A
Resistance Range: 0.1 - 3.5 ohm
Voltage Indicator Light: 3.2 - 3.7V (Red) and 3.7 - 4.2V (Blue)
That looks like it might work. I'll give it a shot. Thanks. I'd rep you but I have to spread some around first.
Yeah, I think if I was able to quit cigs totally for a little while my throat might recover enough to where I could handle a higher nic juice. But I may not need it if I can manage that. [Reply]
Bought this a couple of days ago. Sense Blazer 200. It is cross compatible with the Smok tfv8. Has a much better top fill set up then the tfv8. Running it on my Segelei Fuchai. Good, so far. [Reply]
