I don’t think he’s a good buy at the ridiculous Spotrac market valuation. I also don’t think that’s what it takes. I think you’re talking about $6-8M that is incentive laden, if it’s Mooney.
I don’t think it’s the only move or the best move or without risk. I do think it’s a logical fit, and if the team pursues him they’re seeing a guy who still has the physical tools but has had his production suppressed by a limited QB and bad offense.
I prefer Curtis Samuel and Marquise Brown as options. And again, I’m not expecting any of these guys to be a new top dog type. I’m expecting them to be reliable pros who fit into the offense and do their jobs effectively.
I love Samuel.
Issue is, he is not elite outside.
He's elite slot.
We already have Rice and might be grabbing McConkey.
We need a WR that can play outside to add to roster. [Reply]
Tyler Boyd has been a WR1, WR2 and WR3 and hasn’t had less than 650 receiving yards since 2017.
Curtis Samuel has 99th percentile speed at 4.31 and knows our system. Has had 600+ receiving yards in 4 of last 5 years, the one he wasn’t was due to injury.
These guys are way better than Watson, Richie and Skyy [Reply]
That's why my mentality has shifted to fuck it, swing for Jefferson. If we're going to have to severely overpay at every single level in this fucktarded WR market, might as well do it for the best WR in the league and not these bum ass scrubs on the market. [Reply]

I don't think Samuel has anything approaching that speed anymore.
He looked polished and fairly quick in Washington but I didn't see him as a burner anymore.
He looked like what Moore was supposed to be; a slightly better version of a healthy Sterling Shepard. Maybe poverty Lockett if you squint. [Reply]

You don't have to sell me on getting an elite offensive weapon but we need a better backup plan than run out the same losers at WR as last year.
We need to add someone to play outside and who compliments Rice. [Reply]
Went into his last season at Alabama as a consensus top MLB prospect and potential 1st rounder. Disappointed, went into the draft as a possible 2nd rounder who was surely going to be gone by the early part of the 4th then slid into the mid-5th.
Then sucked. Hard.
But he's managed to stay in the league and now he probably shouldn't have to work again provided he manages his money okay.
Really a success story when it's all said and done. I kinda thought he'd washed out by now. [Reply]
