Nzoner's Game Room>Anyone here doing the E-Cig / Vape thing?
pr_capone 03:05 AM 11-17-2013
Thanks to my vape, I've had only one single cigarette in the past 3 weeks. I have zero cravings for them and I feel considerably better. In fact, I still have about 5 smokes left in a pack and just can't see myself smoking those... don't want to.

Even better... 5ml of juice, which costs $5, lasts me about 2 weeks meaning that I am spending less in the long run. I only smoked, at most, a pack a week... but still.

I tried the Blu E-Cigs but they were terrible. Trying to "smoke" out of one of those was like trying to take a hit off a joint that was rolled WAY to tight.

I'm using an eGo-V v2 mega battery with variable voltage control with a gravity tank.

2nd. I believe listo, you were the one that recommended Sigelei to me, and I can't thank you enough!

I got mod for about $45, and it's a single interchangeable 18650 setup. I've had it almost 2 years, without a single complaint. Unfortunately, my own clumsiness will be the reason I look to replace it in the near future. I've dropped it or been careless and caused it to fall a lot. Let me stress, it's taken a beating and still held up. I think I finally delivered a bit of damage to it recently, and suspect the battery contact at the bottom is starting to show signs of a short.

Trust me though, I couldn't recommend them higher.

For tanks. I got the joyetech cubis in December and it's fantastic! It's a cup tank design, so no worries about leaking from below. The head on top twist to regulate the air flow, and if you like mouth to lung vaping it's pretty damn great. Mouth to lung being a tighter pull and mimicking taking a drag off a cigarette and that resistance to it.

Also, a really good M2L tank that's compact if want something for on the go is the Aspire Nautilus X.

Looking for good and super cheap juice in tons of flavors? Mount Baker Vapor is the equivalent of stocking up by buying a couple of cartons to ejuice, and they have some really good flavors, so it's not like your getting a carton of GPCs.

Hope that helps. I actually just bought a whole setup and some bottles of juice for my sister and it was less than $70 and should have her covered for the next 3 months.

It's an Aurora from Vaporessa. Looks like a Zippo lighter:

Opened up:

It is only runs at 12 Watts and has a 1.4 ohm ceramic coil. No buttons, it activates when you use it. Carries 1.2 ml of liquid but it's not a juice hog at that low power. Great for 'smoke' breaks at work. Only about $25.
That's pretty slick.

I'm tempted to get one for when I need something handy and don't want a cumbersome daily driver.

Tesla Stealth : I like the ability to use your own tank of choice.

Otherwise this tiny little bastard, but your zippo one is definitely awesome.

I have been tempted at getting one of those setups that look exactly like a normal inhaler... devious!

Just got back into this. Using the Tesla Stealth 40w with a tebecco super tank mini. Nice little setup, even though I water damaged the battery.

I had forgotten about this. While I was looking around for a cheap set up to mimic smoking better, I stumbled across this very cheap "squonk box" from Kangertech. I had no idea what the hell a squonk box was. The idea is that it's a dripper but you don't have to drip into it. There is a flexible compartment inside the mod that holds juice. When you squeeze the compartment it squirts juice through a tube into the deck that you would normally drip into. From what I gather there are some pretty expensive versions of this kind of thing from various companies. This is a cheap one and here's a video explaining it:

I like the look of that Tesla Stealth. It would be a nice one to take to work. I do have a couple of Horizon Tech tanks that would fit it nicely, the Arctic V8 and the Cerakoat. I do stay away from built in batteries though, but I couldn't resist the fake Zippo so now I have the stealth vape niche covered.

I know 2 different people that had a Dripbox and both of them hated it. I think one of them is using a vaperesso box and tank kit and the other went back to smoking.

I have never used any kind of dripper myself. Too much hassle and it didn't seem like it would be anything like smoking. I have heard that you get really good flavor though. I don't know. I figured the squonk thing and the premade 'coils' might interest someone.

By the way I am enjoying MTL so much that I bough a Kangertech Evod Pro. It should be coming in Thursday. I think I might have to cover up one of the two airflow holes to make it feel right but with a 1.5 ohm coil it should be dead on.

I would suggest you look into RDTA's. I'll never use anything else again. They're basically rda's that wick down into a tank below. The natural motion of vaping wicks it for you when you tilt the tank. Really great flavor and they're really easy to build on. The Avocado 24, ijoy limitless plus, and ijoy combo are all great. It's all the pros of a dripper without having to actually drip. You have to build your own coils but it's not hard to learn if you've never done it before. You'll save yourself some money building your own as well. Pre-built aren't cheap.

So I finally started using these disposable ones for my THC intake..Holy shit these fucking things are awesome. Smoking ganj out of a pipe seems so antiquated now. Rocks

I have to admit it's intriguing. I was looking at wire jig tools for wrapping coils just the other day. It does look like something I could handle. The premade ones for that mod I linked were only $3 though. But, then, someone was saying they're crap. I don't know. Right now I'm really focused on reproducing the smoking experience. I'm getting back to the basics because I don't want to start smoking again and I was getting ridiculous smoking urges. I think this Evod Pro I have coming in tomorrow is going to do it.

Do you use those little things that look like brown Christmas bulbs?

Hell, $20 will get you enough wire and wicking to last months, if not a year.

I get what you're saying. My problem is that no matter how close my build/rdta gets to replicating actual smoking it never scratches that itch the same way. I'm down to about a half pack a day from 1-2 packs, though. Gonna try to kick for good after finals next week.
