Seems like he's doing better. Even came back and played a few games in AAA for SFG in 2021 and now does mental health awareness stuff.
Have you seen his episode of The Pivot podcast? It's pretty interesting.

It's a really long listen but it's very interesting to hear what he was thinking and what lead up to it.

I’m willing to say Tekoah Roby is the best arm I’ve seen at the AFL this year. I’ve seen one inning.

He’ll be in my top 100.

Tekoah Roby struck out both Chase DeLauter and Kyle Manzardo in the 1st. FB up to 98 with a hammer curve ball.

#stlcards have acquired RHP Riley O'Brien in a trade with #Mariners.

A PCL All-Star, the 28-year reliever had 86 strikeouts and a 2.29 ERA in 55 innings for Mariners' Class AAA team. He was set to become a minor-league free agent.

We have acquired RHP Riley O’Brien from the Seattle Mariners in exchange for cash considerations and claimed INF/OF Jared Young from the Chicago Cubs.

Our 40-player roster now stands at 40. #STLCards pic.twitter.com/0WQbLmzajt

The Cubs made a splash to get their manager. Besides just flat out getting paid, there had to be some kind of guarantee that the team is going to make some big moves. Mo better up his game.

I'll wait and see.

The managers salary doesnt mean shit when it comes to putting dollars on the field and those dollars are something Hoyer has been reluctant to give out. He's avoided going big in FA because he would rather offer 6-7 at $35M AAV instead of the 10+ at $25-30M the market is willing to pay. Maybe there was some kind of guarantee, but it could have been the same guarantee the Cardinals made to Arenado to get him to opt in. I doubt the Cubs seriously go after Ohtani. The question will be will they finally start using some of these top prospects to make some substantial trades and then use their fucking bank account to extend the player, like say... Juan Soto.

They cut and or saved $44 million salary against next years salaries at the trade deadline and Waino retiring.

#STLCards POBO John Mozeliak on his club spending in free agency for pitching: "I think we have to be prudent on how we think through some of this. But, I definitely think the type of payroll we were going to have last year (before trades) will look very similar this year."
