I think it's simple.
If other teams think the Chiefs aren't interested, they have no reason to keep upping their offers. It kills leverage for Jacksonville. If teams know the Chiefs are interested, it gives Jacksonville room to say "well, the Chiefs are offering X...beat it."
Right now, the Chiefs have a smoke screen and can toss offers in, hoping theirs comes out on top. [Reply]

Yea I am sure they have their sources that do not require them to read random twitter guys post and relay it back to head quarters. GM's know how is in the mix partly because the team dealing probably tells them. [Reply]
