l disagree. I think Martinez and Reyes are the only ones with that ceiling the Cardinals drafted or signed and developed in forever.
I don’t think Reyes is perinally hurt now. He’s like Pham? TJ is pretty common now among this generation. Pitching down in PR, the coaches may not have cared about arm health as much in the USA. Getting a lat strain on your first start could have been trying too hard. [Reply]
I thought my Pirates were DOA at the start of the season.
Then they looked like a big surprise world beaters.
Now they are floating back like giant turds in the punch bowl. :-)
Gregory Polanco looks like he swallowed Melissa McCarthy. That dude is barely batting above the Mendoza line and better start losing some weight. He looks like a bloated manatee. No wonder he is hitting .60 points below his weight.
You guys have some pretty good pitching outside the Washington Nationals. [Reply]

Or, as DJ intimated earlier in the thread, it could be a result of him trying to throw harder than his body is capable of safely throwing. [Reply]

I feel bad.
I agree that the ball game appeared to be over. That said, This team seems to come from behind to win more than recent teams.
They need to go down to the minors and bring up some help for the bullpen. We have talent there that can help the bullpen.
Hicks is pitching his 2nd inning for the 3rd time in 6 days. He pitched 2 innings with a 5 run lead. That’s on Matheny.
But, Matheny aside, the bullpen does need help. Gregerson, Leon and Holland were supposed to be the end of the game closers. They are all out. Get some fucking help and quit burning the arms of Hicks and Norris. [Reply]
