I'm very happy to see him going to LF and lay down that bunt. Your going to have to do that a lot to get them out of the extreme shift but it at least forces the defense to modify the shift a little. We already saw the 3B come in on the edge of the grass. That opens up more and easier lanes for the grounder to get through the infield.
The NFL and NBA are using at least 80% of the time, the take what the defense gives you approach. But, baseball says fuck that, we are not giving in, the odds of a hit has dramatically decreased but we don't care, fuck that easy single, its off or over the wall or an out.

the good thing about this broadcast is no commercials. Interviews and background insights instead of car commercials.
Joe Moresi says Manny’s best fit for his talents and the team needs is the Cardinals. He knows the Cardinals are interested but won’t outbid everyone to make it happen. He hopes Manny realizes how going to St. Louis would be for him personally. [Reply]

This one isn’t on meathead.
Reyes was throwing 96-97 all game and then in the 4th his fastball went down to 92/93 consistently. Kelly called time and everyone came out for an injury visit to the mound. He said he was fine finished the inning at 96mph but wasn’t seen in the dugout again for the rest of the game after that inning.
He is now saying post game he’s fatigued but fine. Cardinals say he’s fine. So that means tommy John again.:-) [Reply]

To be fair to Derrick Rose, he established himself as one of the games elite players for the first 3 1/2 years of his career before becoming a broke dick. [Reply]
