Either way, this feels a little too close to the edge.

If Reek was directly responsible (inflicted) the injury on his kid- he would have been arrested and charged by now. My guess, is they were mulling over charges of neglict which indirectly led to the kid getting hurt. Since both parents have now enrolled in parentling classes to learn to watch him better- this is over. The press conference is because the local media blew it out of proporation and convicted him in the press, putting pressure on the DA to charge Hill. [Reply]

I expect the authorities to say, "Tyreek, yours is no disgrace." ... and the media to continue hanging out near the gates of delirium.

Today at 3:00, Steve will be holding a press conference regarding the criminal investigation involving Tyreek Hill and Crystal Espinal. This will be held in our 4th floor conference room.
Johnson County, Kansas, authorities are planning a news conference at 3 p.m. to discuss a criminal investigation involving Kansas City Chiefs star Tyreek Hill and his fiancee, Crystal Espinal.
Hill is under suspicion of battery.
Overland Park police were called to a home on Switzer Road in March on a report of battery. The victim is listed as a juvenile.
Hill's name is not mentioned in the March 14 report, but his fiancee, Crystal Espinal, is listed.
The report appears to show the incident as occurring sometime between Feb. 4 and Feb. 21.
A spokesperson for the Overland Park Police Department said the department has turned over its findings to the Johnson County prosecutor’s office.
A second police report, dated March 5, showed officers were called to Hill's home to investigate a report of child abuse or neglect. Both Hill and Espinal are listed in that report.
The report states prosecution was declined in the case March 8.

I find that hard to believe.......the timing of all of this seems really suspect. [Reply]
