I watched a scouting show the other day that said Chesson was thought of as a kid first rounder going into 2016 and that the lacking play at QB brought his value down.
The best part is that he will be practicing with Mahomes daily, so he might explode on the scene in 2018. [Reply]

Yea he was being talked about as a 1st rounder after abusing Hargreaves in the bowl game. [Reply]
I still think WRs may be among the hardest positions in the game to scout. So much of what they are able to accomplish is scheme dependent. And honestly, they're all such good athletes that it's hard to even see a lot of separation there.
Personally I just look for fast feet, lateral agility and guys that will attack the football rather than let it get into their body. Chesson's 2015 tape shows a lot of that but man I hate having to look back a year. I know people want to say the injury did it (and the QB play didn't help), but how often do you really see guys backslide as seniors and then re-capture their form at the next level?
It's just not all that common. Most guys continue to ascend or at worst plateau. He still makes me nervous but the '15 tape shows some skills there. [Reply]
Dude was destroying everybody in 2015 but his QB changed and he had the knee issue.
I see this guy being a gunner and return man mostly with a chance at a small workload as the 5th receiver in 2017. They want to give Hill more time on offense so it makes sense to use this guy to replace the role DAT and Davis filled. [Reply]
