Face it, you're soft. You are probably the type of guy who gets cheated on by his gf and then goes running back to her with open arms the minute she explains why she did it and asks for forgiveness.
Anyway one fluke year does not impress me. I guess the Eagles should rehire Chip Kelly since Foles threw 27 TDs 2 INTs in 2013.
That goes back to the GM, we had no better alternative. lol When they give you shit to work with, guess what? There is no abra cadabra to change that shit into something else. [Reply]
Firing Haley and promoting the QB coach appeases Ben for at least a year so he doesn't do his yearly "maybe I'm going to retire" act. It also buys Tomlinson some time so he doesn't have to find a new QB this year and risk a losing season with a new QB. Self preservation by Tomlin.
Haley has some Reid in him, with odd short yardage calls. He's a decent OC, but a quirky SOB who doesn't seem to get along with anyone. [Reply]
Second of all, he never had a chance with Pioli, who between gum wrapper checks had no idea of how to be an NFL GM, unless you consider cutting/resigning below average safeties as the best way to be productive on either end of giving Matt Cassel Alex Smith-like money and picking Tyson Jackson 3rd overall...
Haley had Charles getting 7 yards a carry with defenses STACKED against him, because, for some odd reason, Matt Cassel didn't really demand any respect on the vertical side of the field.
Dude made chickenshit out of chicken salad.
He kicked ass in Pittburgh, too.
They scored 42 points in 3 quarters, on a Jacksonville team who has rode their DOMINATING defense to AFCCG.
The Jags offense, who by the way, could barely eek it out against ****ing BUFFALO at home, suddenly lit the "Steel Curtain" up for 45.
I didn't say he didn't have good, intelligent coaching ideas. I said his demeanor and personality were negligible and possibly even counterproductive to him being a good coach, specifically regarding the idea that being a crazy angry fly-off-the-handle doofus gave his teams toughness.
It didn't. His teams weren't talented, but he didn't do a damn thing to make them "tougher" just because he gets in bar fights, throws a temper tantrum once per game on the sidelines, and makes foolish and irrational hirings/personnel decisions constantly.
He's just NOT a good head coach at all. I get that you don't like Andy Reid. That's fine. But you're just simply not going to get better results with Haley, nor are you necessarily going to get better "toughness" through Haley. [Reply]
Haley has crazy eyes...and I knew as soon as I heard of the bar beat-down/broken pelvis that he was done. That type of energy has a way of finding you...and someone in Haley's position shouldn't be out, shitfaced, at some plebeian bar.
Basically he's a dumbshit...and invited that scenario. He's also a drunk...you can tell.
If you introduce chaos into your situation...dont be surprised when it manifests/spreads to the surroundings. (see Steelers locker room)
That guy is trouble....but what makes us great...makes us weak in other areas. Divine balance... [Reply]
Seriously, pretty much everyone who has ever had a conversation with Dane here has gotten neg rep. Stop whining about it. Aren't you a shrink? Doctor, heal thyself. [Reply]
I can't believe Haley is being defended in here. He was a shitty head coach and seems to be a fairly shitty person. From salad rats to bar fights to trashing houses, shit like this doesn't happen to people who have their shit together. [Reply]

Bingo
My son-in-law is a Steelers fan....he is very happy about the decision [Reply]

It wasn't neg rep, it was Thumbs Down, making him an even bigger crybaby [Reply]
Dime-store psychology here, but I've always thought Haley was insecure because of his background, and adopted his asshole persona to prove how tough he was. [Reply]
