After the complete collapse of the Blues last season, I found myself wondering if I was going to be a Blues fan this year. I've been a Blues fan since '84 or '85, and no matter what state I moved to over the years, I stayed a Blue note. But last year's playoff disaster really put a bad taste in my mouth.
Well, of course, I stayed a Blues fan for this year, but I've had no expectations for the team. I didn't even think they'd make the playoffs. And here they are. Since my indifference seems to be the lucky rabbit's foot for the team this season, I'm leaning towards cautious indifference for their chances in the playoffs. I'll ramp up to rabid, frothing-at-the-mouth Blues monkey when they get into the championship series. [Reply]
Cool find with the bracket Daface. I'll bet you can't wait 'till tomorrow when the Avs get Jack Hughes with Ottawa's pick in the draft lottery. [Reply]

If the Avs get Hughes (essentially) tomorrow and then Makar joins the team next weekend...

I guess I can't complain about the #4 given that the Avs are a playoff team, but it really sucks to get shafted by the lottery twice in three years. [Reply]

While the draft lottery system does discourage tanking, I've always hated it in all forms. [Reply]
Looks like KC audiences are shut out of the game tonight since FS Kansas City has the Royals and the alternate has some racing stuff scheduled. [Reply]
