Post here. Pertinent free agent signings can still have their own thread. Anyone who replies with a Q, because something is buried in this thread should blah blah AIDS tree. [Reply]
Breeland is like the Tre Boston of 1 year deals and I dont get it. Dude is actually pretty good youd think someone would lock him up long term. [Reply]

The Chiefs should be all over him. He’s likely going to cost a low rd pick and he’s still on his rookie deal.
7.5 sacks and 11 passes defended in 3 years. H/W/S with ability to pass rush and cover.
Sounds like a good Ragland replacement to me. [Reply]
If #Chiefs re-sign Bashaud Breeland, they'll have every player under contract for 2020 who played at least 57 percent of their unit's snaps on the title team.
To my research, no team has returned every such player since at least the 2001 New England Patriots.

It’s be a $2.3 million dollar cap hit. Get rid of Sammy and we could bring him in. [Reply]

Nah. A few of us were discussing compensatory picks for next year in the Lions sign Reggie Ragland thread. tyecopeland posted this:

Says we will get a 4th for fuller and a 5th for ogbah at this time.

So I saw a mock today that had our first 3 picks as AJ Epenesa, Willie Gay Jr, and Zach Moss. I'd pretty much jizz in my pants if we pulled that off. [Reply]

Until we cut Watkins. We can't currently sign the current FAs nevermind the draft class so this will only be temporarily true, unless they manage to sign Jones to a long term deal, work out a deal with Watkins, re-sign Breeeland and leave enough cap for the draft and to take some into the season. The Chiefs are currently Cap Compliant and won't need to worry about signing their draft class until late July, and that's only if Training Camps open as scheduled.
There is plenty of time for the Chiefs to renegotiate a deal with Watkins, extend Jones, then re-sign Breeland. [Reply]

Dude filled in for Thornhill and came up big when it mattered most. I’ll take it, but also more than happy to let the Skins pay him 40 million instead of us. [Reply]
