I don't think that's surprising to anybody. I think most people expect he'll net out around 16-18 PPG, 6-7 assists. Especially since he's getting significantly less minutes to preserve him.
What's been real interesting is that Melo and Stoudemire have never been on at the same time. Stoudemire finally played well, but Melo was really off. Complete opposite of the game against Boston. I think if there's ever a decision the Knicks regret it was going after JR Smith. That move still doesn't make any sense.

Perhaps, but that might surpass my expectations a bit for him.
