Brother, do your thing and let me know. If it's worth two shits, I'll get it and we can kick some ass.
It used to be, but they've actually made huge strides in the past few years. I quit EA football long ago (tried NCAA again in '12, I think, and it felt like the same AI with better presentation).... quit their NHL for the 2k series back in the day, but went back to it in '12.
If you want simulation hockey, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised (offline, anyway), especially if you haven't played it for a while. And the sliders actually work, so even if you want some arcade play, you can probably get it. Last I checked, I'm averaging right at about 3 goals for and against per game towards the end of season 1 (granted, I've simmed several)... and I hit well over 500/season in '12 and '13 (while simming several).
But... online might suck. It was quite a bit different than offline in '14, a lot more arcadey, and I've read the same complaints from some people online. I haven't tried it yet though.... I play some online and offline multiplayer and don't mind it not being hardcore simulation though. Let me know if you pick it up. [Reply]
Alright, going to get the nathan drake collection. I never once played any of these games. Comes out on the 8th i think? Should be a blast with 3 games to play through when it drops. [Reply]

Those are three games I wish I could go back and experience for the first time again. [Reply]
