Hmmm. It's almost a dead heat. The Smok has slightly more capacity (0.5 mini and 1.0 reg). But the Arctic would fit nicely on this thing at full size, has more coil options and is available from a vendor that I have used often. Plus I don't need a full kit. I'm not into building coils. Also that site offers batteries (I need to grab some) and all of the atomizers for the Arctic, but doesn't support the TVF4 at all.

I can get the V8, 4 18650's (3000mAh, 20A continuous/60A pulse, IMR LiMin), and 2 extra atomizers (comes with two) for $80.70 delivered.

Doesn't sound like a bad deal at all. As I said before, Horizon is a quality brand.

If I were in your place, I would let the price of the replacement coils make my choice.

I am loving the battery life of this mod. I am getting close to 24 hours with this set of batteries and I have been putting this to the test. I've been running it at 85-90W and my fiancé and I have gone through 6mL of juice at that wattage. We've also been using my Nautilus and have gone through a tank of juice at 12.5W.

My Horizon Tech Arctic V8 came in today. Along with the two coils that came with it (V2 0.5 ohm and V4 0.2 ohm) I ordered a "Hive", and a TC coil just to try out TC. I also grabbed 4 new batteries as mine are getting old. I slapped that thing on my Fuchai to give it a whirl. It came with the V4 preloaded so I put my juice in there and cranked it up. That coil goes 60W-150W. At 60W it was blah. At 80W it was starting to do chug. At 100W...damn. I started really feeling that nic. At 125W it was really blowing me out and I was getting dizzy after just a few pulls, lol. I am probably going to have to make sure I stay under 3 mg/ml if I go over 100W at all. The taste is there and the clouds are fucking serious. I'm liking this set up and I still have a bunch of different coils to play with.

OK. I pussied out and swapped the V4 coil (60w-150w) to the V2 (50w-70w). I may have fucked up when I made this juice and let it get too high in nic, but at 100W I am just getting too much. Luckily I was about half way through my 30 ml mixing bottle and I just filled it the rest of the way with pure VG.

I played around with my juice mix and got the nic problem under control. I think I was just being sloppy with my nic content. That's not a big deal when you are vaping 35-50 Watts, but hanging around 100W it becomes a problem because it hits too hard. It's fine now and I am liking this set up. Next I'll grab some more coils but I think I will settle down at around 75W because the coils that go 100W+ are more for cloud chasing and the flavor suffers a bit. Still, I am doing 100W right now and it's fine. I just throw in more 0 nic/flavored PG than I have in the past and keep a better eye on my nic. I was surprised that the PG really isn't giving me bad throat hit at the higher wattage like I thought it was as long as I don't overdo it.

I'm still intrigued with the ceramic option. I could try it on my old Atlantis if I really want to but I'm having fun playing with my new tank, so I will probably wait for the V8 to come out with a ceramic option. From the looks of things it won't be too long before that happens.

Glad you got it under control. I generally hover around a 3 when I'm vaping at high wattages. I'm keeping my Uwell Crown right at 85-90 watts and it is amazing. The max output for this coil is 120w, but I don't like to push it. That's a great way to get some burnt hits.

Ok, who has some good recommendations for a carrying case to put all your shit in? Or a place to look at options. I've been using a Maxpedition EDC Pocket Organizer, and I'd like something around that size but a little fatter so it can hold the bigger bottles of juice. It also isn't really laid out for vape stuff, but it has done the job pretty admirably for what it is. Looking for something pretty portable, not some big ass briefcase.

I haven't been using a case. I grabbed some plastic battery containers for a dollar each and I saved a 30 ml bottle that came with a dropper lid. I can put those and my mod in a jacket pocket.
