So up making coffee this morning and had Sirrus Outlaw Country playing. Paula Nelson the DJ (yes Willies daughter) announced a new tribute album coming in June called Petty Country.

What a well written Tom Petty song. Is it better than the original? I don't think so. That said Dolly I love you! Tom would be proud.

Dolly has really had a resurgance. I saw where she got post Malone's agent or something and he said they were going to follow the same plan as post. I thought that was funny but sure enough shes on shirts and doing interviews all over lately.

I'm not any good at embedding videos but the Korn cover of One at the Icon event was the best of the bunch, IMO. I was admittedly a "nu-metal" kid... I was in 8th grade when the first Korn album came out and hooked me. Either way, both of those covers blew the door off the horrible Avril Lavigne cover that night :-)

This is amazing. Apparently it's 15 years old, but I heard it on a local radio station for the first time a few months ago. Never cared for the Wham original that much, but this version fucking rocks.

This is a cover of an Eminem song I have never heard as I don't know if I have ever listened to an Eminem song.

I do like Kasey Chambers version though. It starts out slow and if you must at about 4:25 to 4:30 mark it kicks in and gets some life.
