Let’s be clear... certain agenda-driven dumbshits want to shutdown college football over this:

You've been wrong since March. Sit this one out.

I have completely accepted the reality that most of Europe can have nice things like soccer because their societies have their act together enough to keep the virus suppressed to a reasonably low level.

And the US can't have nice things like football this fall because our society does not have its act together enough to suppress the virus to a reasonably low level.

It still ucking ucks!

Translation... you can't answer the question.

Again why hasn't this heart issue based on "limited studies and anecdotal evidence" raised red flags by the NFL? MLB? NBA? NHL? International soccer leagues? Boxers? MMA fighters?

We are supposed to believe that this heart condition only applies to college football athletes?

Hilarious.

Many infections can cause this.

So can influenza.

I would imagine most people hospitalized with Covid-19 would have at least temporary myocarditis. The milder cases go away without long term damage but the severe cases can cause irreversible damage two days after getting out of the hospital.

Nonetheless, we would want to determine the frequency and severity of this condition in our studies compared to other illnesses. When someone gets hospitalized with other conditions do we determine if they have myocardtis? Nonetheless, it certainly does not bode well for the public perception, though.

My 89 year old grandma caught influenza two years ago, then came down with pneumonia. Felt fine and then died from cardiac arrest from acute myocarditis while trying to go sell antiques. She had no previous heart problems of any kind. No heart attacks. Did not have high blood pressure. For an 89 year old lady was very healthy.

Didn't a young pitcher with the Boston Red Sox have this too after catching Covid and is out for the season.

Ohio State now says they are in also. I think a lot of these schools know they will kicked their ass kicked in recruiting if they opt out.

The "We Want to Play" stuff from a marketing standpoint is genius. One side won't read into it and they'll support it because "let's get things back to normal PLAY SOME FOOTBALL!" The other side knows what it's really about and is like "Yeah we support that."

Somebody earned their marketing payday.

The college football season would have been cancelled in June if it wasn't an $11 billion dollar industry.
