Anyone up for a bracket challenge this year? A random dude on reddit created a super simple way to do it. If you're in, join here (no account creation required):
If the Preds can get the D core to play the way they did in the 2017 playoffs they will be a tough out. If not, tough to see them getting past the 2nd round. They were such a flaky team this season. I think the Blues get past the Jets in a long, tough, close series and will be a difficult match for the Preds if they are able to get by the Stars. They have been on a tear in 2019. The Avs are going to give Calgary fits, I think the Flames have them but not by much and it won't surprise me if DaFace is right and the Avs take them down. But I think the Sharks take whoever wins that series. Looking forward to Boston/TML, that to me is the most exciting looking series in the round.Looking forward to Wednesday. [Reply]
I've watched just about every minute of every Lightning game since the beginning of February, that's about 25 and I've only seen them outplayed four games. One was Boston, and TB got them back 6-3 last Saturday with backup goalie Pasquale who was just called up. Stamkos even had a short-handed goal. Minnesota played a close checking game and won that game, but they're out now. The other was the Blues who won twice, they played a similar style and Tampa Bay couldn't score or even get into the offensive zone half the time. I think the scores were 1-0 and 3-2, that's the only team that worries me, I don't even think the Caps or the Penguins are much of a threat this year. I think the Lightning is a good pick, put your money on #86 and hope Nashville knocks out the Blues.
