I think if the chiefs trade up, it’s going to for sure be for a receiver. The amount of tackles that have been traded up for in the 10-15 range isn’t many. If somehow the chiefs land in the top 10, they aren’t picking alt, they are picking Odunze. All in all though, don’t expect any trade ups. I’d be willing to lay 10:1 that if Chiefs do ACTUALLY trade up in the draft at all, it will be to secure Worthy.
I could see maybe MAYBE if somehow Fashanu drops they might reactively try to get something done. The others really aren’t worth trading up.
Another thing to consider is we are in the middle of a dynasty with the potential GOAT entering prime. Do we really want to place the responsibility on a rookie to protect his blindside? That seems really really foolish. I think it’s highly unlikely they select a OT in the first round at all.
I think they may take a guy like Kingsley later on who has massive upside. And I wouldn’t mind that at all. Not to say we don’t need help on the line because we definitely do. Mahomes one of the most hurried QBs in the NFL last year, he just played excellently and avoided sacks. I don’t know who’s on the market, but they should forget about paying sneed and allocate funds to help on the line. Keep our guy clean, esp against the emo raiders. [Reply]
Veach will NEVER trade the kind of capital it would take to get into the top 10 for a fucking WR. Never. Not even in the realm of reality. Veach and Reid follow the pillar position mantra with absolution. QB, OT, DE, CB. If it isn't one of those 4 positions, forget about it because it is never going to happen, I'm 100% confident of that.
And yeah, you trust a QB to be protected by a rookie if he's good enough. Would I trust him to a guy like Mims or Guyton who doesn't have a ton of starting experience and it's all on the right side? Fuck no. Would I trust him to Fautanu or Fashanu? Yep. I'd trust him to Morgan too. You have to differentiate experienced and able day one from inexperienced with traits, much like should be done in the obsession with WRs. [Reply]

You must not of have read my post correctly or I didn’t word it well enough.
Top 10 trade not happening at all. IF it did, it would be for a WR or a DE. Never a OT.
I will bet you 1k we can escrow the money to whatever poster you want on here if they verify their identity on social media, that if we trade up it’s not for a OT. I’ll actually give you 10-1 1k max payout that if a trade up happens it’s WR vs any other position. Thoughts? [Reply]

I read you just fine. Veach would never trade into the top 10 for a WR in any fictional realm you want to devise, especially a draft loaded with talent at the position. A DE wasn't part of the discussion, don't move the goalposts.
We aren't betting on anything, especially what you have here. I said specifically that he could make a small move for a WR. I'm talking about moving into the top 10, which is specifically what you said. We're not at all talking about moving up 5 spots for a WR over an OT. [Reply]

What's great about Fautanu is his versatility. He can play both LT and guard. Polenisian bloodlines. Very solid personality, smart and humble.
As draft history has shown us, great OTs can only be had in the 1st round. So if you have to swing for one, this draft is the chance to do it with the great depth at the position. [Reply]
The longer we go without signing an LT, the more obvious it seems our first round pick will be spent on an LT. And an even better bet that it won’t be at #32. [Reply]
