I wouldn't say my favorite cheeses.
My wife and I do a grown up Easter basket every year, which normally includes wine and cheese among other things. So that was the basis of it then I stopped by the grocery store and grabbed other things that sounded good.
Whenever I assemble a good charcuterie, I get a jones for St. Albray. What's your position on semi-firm cheeses?
St. Albray has a consistency like a good Brie, and has a nutty taste that is almost like eating a paste of sunflower seeds. Then the rind is saltier and funkier.
I'm also a sucker for a good Kalamata.
Your pepidews reminded me of the segment on Chowgirls Killer Catering [@8:45]. They have a sweet potato stuffed pepidew/ They also have a fennel porchetta that looks worth killing for.
Doing up a legit jambalaya tomorrow, with a cherry tomato roux and the whole shebang... inspired by an Andrew Zimmern show down in cajun country earlier this week
Gonna be loooaded with skrimps as the main meat, then some sausage and chicken breast... 2 large tomato diced, the holy trinity, green onion, garlic, parsley, chicken stock, Louisiana hot sauce, short grain rice, Tony Chacheres seasoning, some extra paprika, along with a squeeze of lemon to brighten it up
The goal is to have a shrimp in pretty much every bite [Reply]

Shrimp cocktail the most over rated and over priced dish aside from salty fish eggs called caviar.
Shrimp does not adsorb marinades like a protein like red meat. Any marinade for shrimp simple makes the coating stick. Tempura is great at the right place.
