The media loves to promote the Steelers because they have a national fan base of people who jumped on their bandwagon at one point or another. Same with Dallas, same with Green Bay. They do this, like with the New York teams, whether these teams are worth a squirt or not. They cater content to attract the largest groups of fans which means fluffing Steelers, Cowboys, Giants fans etc even when the teams are wretched. The Steelers fattening up on a weak schedule just made their jobs easier for a while.

Exactly. You'd have to be dumb as fuck to hold out a player that could otherwise go especially of sammys caliber in a play off game. It's win or go home. You don't hold back thinking of we will save him for the next one in case we get there.
