Snyder's Man of Steel, which rebooted the Superman franchise, has grossed north of $600 million worldwide since it hit theaters this June.

Warner Bros. is about to bring together two of its most iconic heroes: Superman and Batman will unite in a new film, the follow-up to “Man of Steel,” set for release in 2015.

According to two sources with knowledge of the movie, Warner Bros. intends to announce the news at its Comic-Con International panel Saturday morning. Said a Warner Bros. spokesperson, “We don’t comment on rumors regarding these properties.”

“Man of Steel” director Zack Snyder is expected to reunite with screenwriter David S. Goyer and star Henry Cavill for the new film. It’s unlikely Christian Bale will step back into the bat suit, as the actor has indicated publicly that he has moved on from his days as Bruce Wayne.

“Man of Steel” producer and “Dark Knight” trilogy director Christopher Nolan is expected by some to produce the project, but the exact nature of his involvement is unclear.

The move marks the culmination of years of effort on the part of Warner Bros. and DC Comics to bring their superheroes together in a similar fashion to their primary competitor Marvel, which successfully combined its superheroes into a $1.5-billion box-office hit with “The Avengers.”

In the comic world, the two heroes are teaming up in a new series, “Batman/Superman,” by writer Greg Pak and artist Jae Lee.

Why does it sound robotic?

Not sure. I had originally thought he'd say that line while wearing that mech suit.

Now, I doubt it'll sound so distorted in the actual film.

So, apparently the Wonder Woman movie will put her origin at WWI instead of WWII:

Think that's been pretty much known for months now.

people are wayyy to critical of a comic book film. I think its gonna be a really good film and very entertaining.. Ben is going to prove to be the best combo Bruce/Bat to date.. the movie will have a different feel compared to the trailers imo.

I haven't been paying attention to these franchises. The new Superman actor is kind of blah to me and I'm not a fan of Ben Affleck. A Wonder Woman movie set during WWI sounds interesting though.

Ben Affleck. I see his name in print and, really, only three things come to min. 1) He was in Dogma, which I kind of enjoyed but it had a bit too much of the petulant atheist trying really hard vibe. Salma Hayek was hot, Ben was a goofy angel. Hit and miss. 2) He was in some really shitty movie with Jennifer Lopez because they were a couple (?) and then they broke up suddenly(?) 3) After he broke up with J-Lo he was gay for a while and dated either Matt Damon or Tom Brady(?) I'm not impressed. He's just a guy. Just some guy that someone decided to put in movies for some reason. Meh.

Ben Affleck looks terrible for the role. He looks doughy and not-at-all intense.

I still think Cavill is an okay Superman but this movie just looks like ass.

I will almost certainly see it, but it just looks fucking terrible.

I don't mind Affleck, I think he's probably the first actor that actually LOOKS like Bruce Wayne. The costume itself is another thing though... the cowl looks ridiculous especially how they're still making him wear eye shadow. I think he would be a lot more menacing if the eyes weren't exposed and they were white lenses instead like how they're supposed to be.

Just like Man of Steel, the first trailer looked really, really promising but the closer and closer we get and the more they reveal about it, the more disappointing it looks.
