We don't really have one of these yet, so figured we could use this as a place to discuss potential free agent acquisitions and what we would like to look for them to bring in.
If any of you guys are interested, heres a good place to do some research.

Oh so Matt Miller is wrong??
Montez Sweat stock bottomed out due to team medicals. Have heard from a few clubs that have him off the board. Of course it only takes one team, but the expectation now is he will drop. Could fall out of Round 1
There is absolutely no chance in hell that they would trade for Clark if they thought Hill may get cut. Right? You just can’t make that move if you think there’s any chance of the Hill deal blowing up in their face. [Reply]

When it comes to reasons why they didn’t win, the salary cap is way down the list.
You’re not wrong, but that’s not my point.
It will be significantly more difficult in 2-3 years when Pat is making big cap hits compared to the next couple years. The margin for error will be much thinner than it is now.
I think we can go for it and still build a team for the long term. [Reply]

Fair enough. I can see both sides of this Clark thing, which is why I haven’t defended or been against it much either way. [Reply]

If it's just #29.....then fine....whatever. If it's more than that.....then Veach got fleeced. [Reply]

Logically, I agree. I have a feeling the Chiefs know little about the investigation however. Hill better pray he didn’t pull a Kareem and lie about what happened to them. [Reply]

Yea, that’s how I feel.
I’d obviously rather not give up 29, but it’s hard to imagine getting somebody anywhere close to as good as Clark there. And we’d still have two 2nd’s and a 3rd to work with. [Reply]
Mahomes extension should be something along the lines of 15% of the cap fully guaranteed until 2040. With a bonus every five years of 10% of the cap. This gives him roughly 17% of the cap, and guarantees career security. Then no renegotiation ever needs to take place. The structure escalates over time to provide appropriate compensation over the life the deal.
Locking it in gives the chiefs much more latitude to plan without worrying about negotiating with the face of the franchise. [Reply]
Asked about how a Chiefs trade of a 1+ would be viewed in league circles when we just traded Ford for a 2020 2: ‘Clark is much better than Ford. I like Veach making this move a lot’.

Agreed. Give him a lifetime contract like Trout or Harper [Reply]
