Nzoner's Game Room>2019 Free agency Thread
O.city 03:24 PM 02-05-2019
We don't really have one of these yet, so figured we could use this as a place to discuss potential free agent acquisitions and what we would like to look for them to bring in.

If any of you guys are interested, heres a good place to do some research.

So no....you can't just sign everyone and say **** the cap.
Well, they have everyone theoretically signed though so why do they really need the cap space?

Good teams aren't generally going to have much space because they're paying their good player.s

Emulating the Vikings should not be our goal

How are they paying their draft class this year? How are they doing that in 2020 and bringing guys back?

Breer, King, and RapSheet all have the #Chiefs trading 29 for Clark in their latest mocks. There’s just too much smoke there. Makes me think it might happen sooner rather than later.

Yes you can. They just drafted a 1st rd corner. They get quite a bit of money for Rhodes if they cut him next year. Draft another player to replace one of those high cap hits on Friday and that’s even more money.

They also get out of Cousins deal in 2022 which will free up massive money.

They’re fine and we will be too

I’m still not buying it AT ALL.

It’s not going to happen.

Am I the only one who isn't excited about a 1st for Clark? We're gonna have to pay him and he's got a history, we don't need any more of that.

Come on, Clark. Be as unreasonable as Seattle so this shit falls apart.

this is going to make me sick to my stomach, we're going to do this and then see the players we could have gotten at 29 and 63 and be like fuck

Currently the Chiefs have $23 million in cap space and another $9 million gets freed up when Berry comes off the books in June.

If Clark averages $18-19 million per, and your draft class comes in at $5-6, you are carrying 7-8 million into the season.

No to a first for Clark. Honestly, just play hard ball until KC's first pick and then pull the rug out from under them. Call the bluff.

But we have Mahomes Hill and Jones extensions coming up along with extending Schwartz and Fuller
