We don't really have one of these yet, so figured we could use this as a place to discuss potential free agent acquisitions and what we would like to look for them to bring in.
If any of you guys are interested, heres a good place to do some research.

The league isn't stupid. You think they could have gotten better picks for those guys? What makes you think that?
I'd give him the benefit of the doubt on those deals if it wasn't for his horrendous contracts in free agency and what appears to be him rushing to meet Seattle's overinflated asking price for Clark. [Reply]

Mahomes contract will be longer than Wilson’s and it will be backloaded. I seriously doubt we’ll be paying a huge cap hit to him until 2022.
You can easily make the cap work dude. You’re just gonna have to let players like Colquitt, LDT, Watkins, etc walk in the next 3 years.
The Seahawks have no intention of giving Clark a long term deal and this is a loaded edge class. Veach would be cartoonish'ly stupid to pay what the Seahawks are asking. [Reply]

Frank Clark has no durability issues and has done the following as a starter/significant role player for Seattle the last 3 seasons:
32 sacks
66 QB hits
7 forced fumbles
4 passes defended
31 tackles for loss
1 INT
Go ahead and tell the class what draft pick is going to give us that production bc that is elite. In fact, go ahead and tell me how many pass rushers have been better than him the last 3 years.
You're not helping with negotiations amongst CP :-) [Reply]
I'd happily give up a 1st for Clark, getting a premier pass rusher at #29 is pretty much a dream outcome. I just wouldn't sell the whole farm for him. I bet Seahawks will get desperate the closer the draft gets. [Reply]
Year 1- Mahomes under his rookie deal Year 2- Mahomes in 1st year of new deal, cap hit lower (extension, not a new deal) Year 3- Both Mahomes & Clark under huge deals
The #Chiefs wouldn't *really* get hit by this on the cap sheet until 2021. Let's not make this more than it is.

Raise the draft picks on the Jets and get out of that deal unless you can attain him for Ford's draft pick, I still don't see how the Chiefs can afford Clark long term without losing other valuable players along the way. Just use the first round pick on someone like Sweat etc., and grab a cornerback in the second, a stopgap in Boston, and pay your monster contracts that are proven on your team, grab another secondary piece, and move on to the offense side of the ball in the later rounds (TE, WR, and C). Hard pass.
Ummm....what? It doesn't invalidate Speaks. Speaks is your starter at SDE right now. Clark would be your LEO.
And Kpass is a fucking wildcard at this point. [Reply]

The defensive line is going to be all about depth and moving people around to create mismatches. Before Okafor and Ogbah.....our depth was shit. [Reply]
It should give teams *some* pause the Seahawks don’t want to give Frank Clark the contract his production warrants. Can’t put that all on Wilson’s deal.
