Yes, with Mahomes they would have won. But Mahomes would have never played for Marty. Too risky.
When Montana was here, Marty actually played aggressively on offense, more than he is given credit for. Marty would have recognized the talent Mahomes had, and would have hired coaches to take advantage of that talent.
Marty did like to run the ball, but he wasn't stupid.
I dunno if I'd piss off O he could knock you out with a quick gas blast and then remove all your teeth or just select ones to make you look retarded. [Reply]
Yeah, the lazy narrative for this week is clearly going to be the whole:
Down X number of starters/down both tackles thing.
Leaving out the context of one guy sliding in being new, and some position shuffles.
Considering Fisher was hurt last time and isn’t strong against power rush guys like Pierre-Paul, the loss is less than it would have been.
And neither Pierre-Paul nor Barrett is prime Von Miller in MVP form, so this idea that they can just dominate Mahomes is funny.
Reid will have adjustments to affect DE aggression. Jet sweeps. Screens. Having the tackles take extra wide sets to encourage inside rushes. Etc. [Reply]
