We don't really have one of these yet, so figured we could use this as a place to discuss potential free agent acquisitions and what we would like to look for them to bring in.
If any of you guys are interested, heres a good place to do some research.

It's weird because I don't think I have a term preference and use them all [Reply]
Frank Clark is a little bit like Justin Houston. He isn't really a speed edge rusher. He's a hand fighter that uses space to fight his way to the QB. He is just as likely to cut under the OT as he is to lean and turn the corner. He does have a knack for getting there. Very tenacious.
Frank Clark was ranked 11th last year in pass-rush win percentage and 19th in pass-rush grade.
I read something about Seattle asking for a 2nd round pick for Clark. [Reply]

You don't lose uniquely talented guys like Hill or even Jones (though Jones is a little easier to get your hands on than someone like Hill) for a guy like Clark. There is a Clark or 2 in every draft. They are very good players who are end up in the right system for them to thrive in.
But a player like Hill or Jones can thrive anywhere. And if you hope to maintain any sort of roster depth after Mahomes is sucking up 1/6th of your salary cap and Jones/Hill are sucking up another 6th or more between them, you're in a world of shit unless you're have the smartest draft room in the league by a fair amount.
And if your draft room is that smart, just go draft another Clark and make sure you have the system that allows him to thrive.
Usually you're gonna have to find those guys in round 1 though.
I can get with you on your Clark take a little. I think he may be getting a little overrated. He's good and I think in Spags system as the Leo, he'd be good. Clowney, IMO, would be a real ass kicker there but apparently that's not happeing.
I admittedly don't care about the future though. Win now, i'll deal with the rest later. [Reply]
