Geez... you're referring to a QB who has missed 29 games in the last 4 seasons. A 37 year old that was more Rivers than Brees. Romo is not a remedy for anything that ails Denver.

OMFG...that shit team just lost Wade. Somehow they will become the most improved by losing their best coach?

I couldn't let that slide...your team is f.cked for the next few years. I think SD drops them to the ACFW cellar.

The guy never once guarded his optimism regarding Tim Tebow. Denver traded up to get him, and it was nothing but, "Tebow wins, has heart, just needs the boy genius McDaniels to coach him up :-)"

Honestly, I wouldn't fucking hate him so much if he weren't such a piece of shit during the McDaniels year.

Talking football with him is pointless and I feel bad enough wasting time doing it.

At least all the other Bronco fans are fairly reasonable. This bullshit of comparing every starting QB Denver has to a HOF QB was hilarious, but now it's not even worth engaging the guy anymore.

Denver is apparently going to go undefeated if they get Tony Romo. Knowmo literally said that tonight. Good God

Also, now everything is, "Every player in the league wants to go to Denver so they can play for John Elway" even though Elway has precisely fucking nothing to do with the day-to-day life in the locker room and on the field experience in Denver. He's not a coach, player, or even the fucking owner.

The guy is in charge of talent evaluation and contracts. He has no fucking sway in getting players to go to Denver just because he's the OG Horse Face

Elway has only been Denver's GM for 5 years, during that time he's built the #1 scoring offense in NFL history AND one of the top 5 defenses of all time. He knows what he's doing.

Lol

Elway has had a few nice moves, countered by a ton of crappy moves.

Good:
Signed Manning
Signed Wade Phillips
Stole Emmanuel Sanders
Signed Demarcus Ware
Signed Aquib Talib
Signed TJ Ward

Bad:
Every offensive player he's drafted
Letting Wade Phillips walk
Being unable to identify any good OL
Overpaying for both WRs
Overpaying for CJ Anderson instead of tendering him higher
Signing Okung (which ultimately cost them a third round comp pick)
Signing Don Stephenson to that retarded deal
Letting Malik Jackson walk
Letting Danny Trevathan walk

The guy is a buffoon that got lucky to sign Manning and Wade.

Elway was right to let Brock, Danny, and Malik go. Dorsey probably would've overpaid them and then he would've wondered why he's always in cap hell while Denver has $50M worth of cap space and a significantly better roster.

Elway doesn't get enough credit for having the balls to let Brock walk. Any other GM in the league would've panicked and overpaid him. Not John Elway.

He tried to offer Brock more than the Texans...and Malik dissed Elway saying if the contracts were handled correctly, Elway could have signed him and Danny for peanuts.

And the way Elway treats FAs is growing resentment towards him.

The only players that show resentment are the ones who are bitter about leaving such a great place.

The Broncos also had makeable incentives in their proposal that would have enriched their potential payout, but apples to apples, another $2.5 million a year with Houston was no doubt a factor in what was best for Osweiler’s family and himself.

Elway had a line he wouldn't cross. Elway is a fucking boss. The only QB Denver had on the roster at the time was some unknown 7th round pick named Trevor Siemian, and Elway STILL stuck to his guns and let Brock walk. :-)

For the first time Wednesday, the Broncos cracked the door open on the pursuit of a veteran quarterback.Coach Vance Joseph told Denver7 he remains comfortable with Trevor Siemian and Paxton Lynch. However, he did not rule out adding an experienced signal-caller in free agency. Tony Romo was not mentioned by name, but his situation could soon clarify with the Dallas Cowboys prepared to release him.

"I think having a veteran quarterback who has won games in the past brings excitement to your locker room and your city," Joseph said. "That being said, we have two young guys who won nine games combined and should have won more. Moving forward we are satisfied with the two young kids. We need to fix the offensive line, run the football better and protecting the passer better is a must."

What would change the Broncos' commitment to a Siemian-Lynch derby for the vacancy? The right name perhaps?

"I am not sure. Right now we have two guys, and there's no one available to talk about," Joseph said.

Romo's status continues to inch toward resolution. The feeling has been for weeks that Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones will do right by Romo, releasing him to pursue a starting job after he lost his spot to Dak Prescott. According to multiple reports, Romo, who turns 37 in April, believes he can play 2-to-3 more seasons. He appeared in only five of the Cowboys' last 32 regular-season games, undermined by two collarbone breaks and a compression fracture of the L1 vertebra in his back. In his last healthy season in 2014, Romo threw for 3,705 yards with 34 touchdowns and nine interceptions.

Romo is scheduled to make $14 million this season. To facilitate a move to Denver, he would likely have to be willing to lower his base salary given the team's desire to address multiple needs under the salary cap. The Broncos are expected to express interest in Romo when he becomes a free agent.
