Fair, but I was always under the impression the Dillon-Jones tandem was as good as there was in the league?
Might be different if we weren't trying to three-peat, like when we were just showing up to the playoffs pre-Mahomes, but that's not the situation anymore. And we shouldn't be content to take the same kinds of crappy players that we were content with back then.
There's something very real at stake this year, a one-in-a-million opportunity to make NFL history, and our personnel decisions should reflect that, imho.
But that's just not how they're ever going to approach it. Maybe they'll put slightly more weight on the upcoming season given the chances of a threepeat, but they're not going to dramatically change their MO.
