Nzoner's Game Room>Anyone here doing the E-Cig / Vape thing?
pr_capone 03:05 AM 11-17-2013
Thanks to my vape, I've had only one single cigarette in the past 3 weeks. I have zero cravings for them and I feel considerably better. In fact, I still have about 5 smokes left in a pack and just can't see myself smoking those... don't want to.

Even better... 5ml of juice, which costs $5, lasts me about 2 weeks meaning that I am spending less in the long run. I only smoked, at most, a pack a week... but still.

I tried the Blu E-Cigs but they were terrible. Trying to "smoke" out of one of those was like trying to take a hit off a joint that was rolled WAY to tight.

I'm using an eGo-V v2 mega battery with variable voltage control with a gravity tank.

Next up would be a mod with built in battery. I'd stay with Innokin and go with their MVP. Last I checked it is up to version 2.0 now and for that I'd grab an Aspire Atlantis tank. You could go with the Atlantis 2.0 or the Atlantis Mega. Next up would be a mod with removable batteries. I like Sigelei because their mods are sturdy, dependable and utilitarian. I use the Sigelei 100W+ and you can get one pretty cheap these days. I'd stick with that Atlantis because it functions well and atomizers are easy to get. There are mods (including Sigelei) that go well beyond 100 watts and/or offer Temperature Control. I find that I don't ever go anywhere near the limit of my device (100 watts) so I'm not interested in anything more powerful. If you are doing this to avoid smoking then you will probably have the same experience. I don't trust the materials in Temp Control atomizers. Most of them use nickel and I won't (possibly) introduce that into my vape for minimal gain in performance. So:

0) Fuck the e-cigs, they're shit.
1) Innokin VV 4.0 with a Mini Nautilus.
2) Innokin MVP 2.0 with an Aspire Atlantis (2.0 or Mega)
3) Sigelei 100w+ (you could go higher wattage but you probably won't use it) with that same tank (you'll need batteries and a charger).

After that you can get as goofy and as expensive as you want, but you aren't doing it to avoid smoking. You're doing it because you have a new hobby. I am using an original Aspire Atlantis with an addon that brings it up to 5 ml. I've seen one that will bring it to 7. If you're looking for a larger tank go with the new Aspire Atlantis Mega.
Wouldn't change a letter in this post. Well done, listo!

I'm now using the Cool Fire IV with an artic sub-ohm tank. I still use my Kanger Genittank as well, to conserve battery, or when I want to limit the vapor. (Mainly while at work.) The Arctic puts off a lot more vapor, but runs at a higher wattage. I got this tank so when I upgrade from the CoolFire, I won't have to buy a new tank at the same time. The Kanger puts off a decent amount of vapor, but doesn't even touch what the CoolFire can do, so the battery lasts for a long time.

Has anyone tried the aspire pegasus 70 watt box w/ pegasus control? I bought a supertank and was, lol, pushing it with a 20 watt istick that shit the bed. I bought a cheap carry over and ordered this online. Curious if anyone's used it.

Never used it, but it looks legit. Aspire puts out quality, so I think you made a good choice.

I love passthroughs. You'll need it since it is a single 18650 battery.

This one has intrigued me for sure. I like the design and layout and the circular dial for 1 handed adjustment.

I've just not seen much talk about it. Maybe it's not true, but if they have a great reputation for their tanks, wouldn't it stand to reason that it would be a good device?

I know it's only 70w, but if people are never adjusting theirs up to full power on the 100w, 150w, 200w devices - what is really the big benefit(s) of a 150w vs a 70w or a 40w for that matter?

Handy little chart for anyone who might find it helpful :

I'm seeing comments that the Temp Control on the Aspire Pegasus is faulty. Rumor is that TC was added late in the development phase because TC has been hyped recently. You don't change between settings yourself, the mod sends a 30W pulse to the atomizer to determine if it is TC or not. I haven't messed with it myself so take it with a grain of salt but I am reading that the pulse can fuck up your atomizer. I have also read that the mod isn't always reading the correct resistance which can cause some problems. I tend to stay away from brand new mods anyway though. The market is so volatile that companies tend to push new product out before it is as good as it could be.

Ordered a few juices from Mt Baker Vapor, they have really cheap juice ($7.50 for 30ml, $36.00 for 236ml)

Their Cinnamon Roll, Caramel Candy, and Bubblegum juices were all bad after a week of steeping. All of them had very little, if any, flavor.

However their Moo Juice was very good, it tastes kind of like a strawberry Creme Saver. Definitely going to get another bottle and if the flavor is consistent I'll pick up one of their big bottles.

I ordered a bunch of juices to try from Zeus Juice.

The ecto cooler was pretty disappointing. The gummy bear is awesome, as was Hammerhead and Red licorice.

They had a great deal on 10ml samplers, so I have like 20 different flavors to try. I'll post my thoughts on them once I've had a chance to give them a run through.

There's so many places that have tons of flavors , it's a bit overwhelming tackling where to start let alone keeping it all straight. Even the websites that review the stuff have so much information to even try to sift through it .

Plus, nothing is more disappointing than ordering a juice that everyone seems to rave about only to finally try it and it sucks!

I like to order sampler packs in pure PG then add my own VG to it. I don't require a whole lot of flavor and now with those atomizers that NWTF recommended it works really, really well.

Anyone care to explain the difference in pg vs vg?
