Compare Gilmore to Ramsey. Gilmore's persona is not that way and he is better than Ramsey IMHO. Confidence vs cockiness/swagger is like night and day. Far different. Anytime you have to continually "toot your own horn" about how great you are, most of the time you are not as great as you 'think' you are. Don't get me wrong here, I get your point BUT when you go out of your way to do it that it shows extreme insecurity which always comes back to bite you. Just ask Manziel and Baker in due time.
Ali and Deion Sanders were the only ones who got away with that schtick but then again did they really? Ali fought waaaaaaay too long and suffered Parkinson's because of ego and lack of $$. Deion is a terminal "attention whore" who can't give the lime light up and demands that you acknowledge his greatness "at all times" everywhere he goes and his opinion and blessing are the only thing that count. Besides he chose not to tackle and good running offenses went right at him which was his achilles heel of his career. He embarrasses himself IMHO every time his show is on regardless of his takes. Zero championships in 50 years, guys.
The Deions, Taylors, Lewises, and Ramseys of the world come with attitude. But attitude wins championships.

He better do it like Tom Brady IF he wants a solid team around him at all times especially a Fort Knox type of o-line to protect him, just saying.:-) [Reply]
