Nzoner's Game Room>2020 College Football
Pointer19 06:38 PM 09-08-2020
With many teams/conferences withdrawing from competition this year, it's going to be an interesting race to the top. My bold prediction? Army is the only team to play enough games to be eligible for a bowl and wins the National Championship by default.

Army shut out Middle Tennessee, Navy got destroyed by BYU, and Air Force is too scared to play anybody other than the other academies. Who'd you watch this weekend?

It’s more than adequate and he has a plus arm, but it isn’t truly elite.

I’ve already said he’s a great prospect and #1 in this draft though. It’s not like I’m being harsh at all here.
He doesn't have an absolute rocket, the biggest thing he has is he isn't shitty at anything, even the things you could say need work he's good at.

Hell, I’m not even sure that he’s better than last years #1 overall pick.

He has the longevity argument and he’s younger, but Burrow’s peak was higher.
I think Burrow was a better prospect than Lawrence. Lawrence has a stronger arm but Burrow's processing and ball placement was special. Lawrence is QB1 this year but I agree Lawrence is not generational. That player came in the 2017 draft.

OSU only took a minute or so off that drive. Yikes

Lance also though. He and Wilson are the upside guys.
And Wilson gets the bump for not being on the map very long.

Deservedly so, but he’s put out some great tape this year and is an exciting prospect.

I smell busts with both these QBs.

Remind me again what makes Lawrence “generational”?

He’s not even the best quarterback in this game.

Lawrence isn't even playing THAT bad, but his defense and OL sure are. Good fucking God.

Hard to be generational when Mahomes is only a few years older, unless you go with the Elway/Marino or Brady/Manning/Brees type of situation. In any case, I watched every snap of Mahomes’ college career and I’ve seen a lot of Lawrence’s games. I’ve never seen Trevor do anything that Patrick could not do, but I saw Mahomes do some absolutely batshit insane stuff that Trevor has never shown on the field.

Do you know what you're supposed to be looking for?

Mahomes is a unicorn so let's disregard that. If allen can succeed Trevor Lawrence has a great chance of succeeding. He may not have the arm talent of Allen but his accuracy and decision making have a way higher ceiling.

Nothing. Classic case of overhype.

That doesn’t mean he’s not a great prospect and clearly #1 overall though.

Tonight I see Mizzou Blaine Gabbert with an elite supporting cast.

Lawrence has never had the ceiling of an elite QB in the NFL. The question is whether he can be an average one.
