I’m in the minority, but I don’t give a damn about the streak now that we’ve got the record. Self should be playing for March. Give Och more minutes than you’d like, more of a leash for Grimes, etc.
Even then it likely won’t matter. This team isn’t built to do much damage in 2019. They’d be a pretty damn good mid-2000’s team though. If you can’t shoot and play through bigs you’re not doing squat in today’s game. High/low needs to go bye-bye, recruit to the 4-1 lineup. [Reply]

How were in the top 10 is a mystery.
FYI, Dotson is having a great year for a freshman guard and Dedric Lawson is one of the better bigs offensively in the country (not sure why he didn't get the ball more down the stretch of this one and Garrett/Vick were taking shots). [Reply]

As bad as the players were down the stretch, Self was just as bad. Self just Bruce Webber-ed the end of that game.
I'd have to agree that Self should take a fair share of blame for this one...especially when you know you have a senior guard who likes to dribble around and take awful contested shots with no conscience. Self should have ensured that wouldn't happen. [Reply]

As frustrating as Vick is, it’s not surprising at all that he handled that final possession so poorly. Complaining about him is like the frog complaining about the scorpion stinging him. Self can’t let Vick run the offense with the game on the line. [Reply]
Self said he wishes he'd called timeout on the last play. But also indicated he saw an open floor, and team was in double bonus. He said he figured his team would know to drive the ball in that situation.
7-0 run to lose by 1 to a winless shit team. Wild crazy jumpers on O and repeated drives for layups on D, including where Vick doesn’t double on the driver (opting to defend the deep corner 3). No post ups for Lawson.
Grimes didn't start in the second half - Agbaji did. Grimes didn't play until the 7 min mark or so in the second half - and only out of necessity due to foul trouble. [Reply]
