It's competent. At times it's stunning visually and plotwise.
It also drags in places and meanders in a way you hope will eventually pay off, but don't know if it will or how.
I'd say it's worth paying attention to at least to this point, then decide for yourself.

The most recent episode was a big payoff.
That's how I would describe it also. The motel room scene (last episode) had me and my daughter going from "OMG" to "HOLLY SHIT" to just :-):-):-). Gotta be one of my all time favorites. [Reply]

The show took a pretty hard turn from the graphic novel, but frankly if they were to do this on any platform other than an HBO type of platform, they had to. WAY too much over the top shit, even for AMC, but they are doing a hell of a job with it. I've looked forward to every episode so far. [Reply]
