Lamar is going to regret losing that weight when CJ plants him in the Arrowhead turf like a lawn dart.
Interesting... two Harbaugh siblings coaching in the NFL this year; two Harbaugh siblings going to get wrecked by the Chiefs this year. Jim twice. John once, maybe twice, if Ravens show up for end of season Arrowhead tournament. :-) [Reply]

I’ll take the home team on this one.
Not only Toney forgetting how to catch a football - we were without our best defensive player and our 2nd best offensive player. [Reply]

Proud product of the US public schools system... [Reply]

You’d think he would want to put on more weight with all the running [Reply]

We had talked in another thread about whether the NFL would want to build hype around some young quarterback like Stroud by having him open the season against the Chiefs and Mahomes, But that doesn't work.
Mahomes and the Chiefs will bury him and put any hype to rest in Week One. So you throw out a perennial loser like Lamar Jackson to take the hit instead. That way they can keep Stroud and other young quarterbacks alive as a marketing strategy until they face Mahomes later in the season.
Seems just a little off to have this game so early in the season. A game against that extra NFC opponent seems like a time to start it. Seems like a lost opportunity for the NFL to save a game between top teams until later in the season when it means something. [Reply]
Meh, Chiefs season doesn’t start until January anyways. The Lions season opener taught us that. Chiefs should win but the meltdown reactions if they lose would be entertaining. [Reply]

If you're talking about Jackson County people having first chance at what's left, I assume that'll happen later this week. Sounds like wednesday night is the full release, so it may be Thursday for Jackson County taxpayers and Friday to the general public, if there's anything at all left at that point.
