We won the Super Bowl. God punished us with a pandemic.
We won the Super Bowl. God punished us with division that we’ve never seen before in this country.
We won the Super Bowl. WE. WON. THE. SUPER. BOWL.
We may have our differences on this board. We may come from different walks of life. We may have different opinions. We may value different things.
But guys, we are ALL Chiefs fans. And we’ve lived through ‘Because Chiefs…’ long enough for pandemics and civil unrest to seem like child’s play.
Our hands are calloused and our hearts are overflowing generously. But we’re together. And we’re all brothers in this crazy world that is ChiefsPlanet. And I will repeat what I said after the Super Bowl: I love all of you.
Let’s forget all the rest of the noise and enjoy this special championship defense. TOGETHER.
The dynasty begins here. Strap in and enjoy yourselves, gentlemen. The ride is going to be magnificent.

You are gone but never forgotten amongst your family here. May the light of Mahomes shine bright on your spirit, gentlemen.
I'm excited! But the NFL can't let their guard down. I always expected there to be a lull (due to seasonality that exists in cold and flu) but this is where we need to remain the most cognizant. Keep protocols in place. No locker rooms. Zoom meetings and X's and O's. Separate the units when ever possible. I can't really think of a good reason the defense ever should come within 6 feet of the offense. Not ideal, but I want this season to go on and possibly get all games in. [Reply]
Really though: I don't think the Texans did anything in the offseason to address our passing attack....don't see how they stop us. A testament to Bill O'Brien I suppose...."hey, we just got our asses handed to us by the class of the AFC, let's not do anything about it for next season!"
I do think this game will be close for 3.5 quarters, but then the Chiefs pull away and win by +10 [Reply]

The Houston Texans....
Got rid of their best WR.
Kept their same idiotic coach.
JJ Watt is one year older.
No Jadeveon Clowney.
Pay Phillip Gaines to play football.
Lost a 1,000 yard rusher from 2019.
It's an interesting thought on team building, they got raped in the Hopkins deal but if you look at it from a different perspective think about this...
They WR corp is extremely fast now where Hopkins was a more volume type of guy now they just have homerun hitters 1-3. Both of their RB's are really good in the pass game. I don't remotely think their offense is going to suck with whats out there. [Reply]

Fuller, Cooks and David Johnson are all broke dicks who are always injured. [Reply]

The Texans spent the offseason becoming a little less good than they were last year. They'll still be average to decent, but I'm guessing they finish third in their division. [Reply]

That's one way to look at it. Another is that they already had 2/3 fast guys. Stills and Fuller were Texans last season too and i don't recall them blowing the doors off anyone.
Cooks hasn't really shown out to be a day-in/day-out playmaker. Yeah he's fast, but he's not a more reliable target than Hopkins, including with deep passes. [Reply]

It's certainly a different style, I think they're a playoff team like the last wildcard. The Titans are very inconsistent so they'll likely fall back. [Reply]
Firing up the smoker around noon doing up a couple tri tips and going to try someone's from here famous smoked potato salad. I will sit down with a full belly to watch the kickoff to the season to be forever known as the "Run it Back"season! [Reply]
