Was it completely non-contact?
Yes he came down the line off scrimmage chasing and boom down goes Jaun. I know a lot are blaming the field and there was a lot of slipping at first but as the game went on footing seemed fine. May have been Jaun stepped in a spot especially wet from tarp removal or linemen churned it up. I never saw chunks of sod coming up on that field like in Mexico it seemed the field got better as the game progressed probably the wind dried it out by half. Just a sad freek thing really but I guess some need a scapegoat. [Reply]

That's really not true, for a high caliber athlete with top doctors he will probably be cleared to play in 4-6 months. However it will take closer to 12-18 for him to be 100% comfortable on the knee. [Reply]
Thornhill will be a great addition right around the time the Chiefs head to the playoffs to defend their Super Bowl title. It will be a great story. [Reply]

Adrian Peterson came back the quickest at 9 months. That time frame is reiterated in the following links when it comes to recovery time for an ACL in the NFL post surgery. It could take him longer like many other players as well.
