The Chiefs have released Berry with a post-June 1 designation, a source tells me. Means the Chiefs will save around $9.5m on the cap this year and $5.5m next year.

We already have it and this won’t be available for a while. It does mean they can spend most of what room they have now with the 9.5 million being used to pay draft picks I would think. But, I don’t know who is out there at this point we’re interested in. [Reply]

He was a great player when healthy and a great person by all accounts but it was time.

Wow! I didn't think they would have the balls. Houston, Ford, Berry! GTFU! The dead money sucks but screw it. We need new blood and new attitude. [Reply]

It was great while it lasted for sure.
But the lack of transparency last year, day to day, it's complicated, and standing on the sideline looking like you showed up to work after a 3 day drinking binge hangover. And just to boot losing the the three games you actually played. All while being the highest paid player on the team.
