Sources: The #Seahawks and #Chiefs are deep in talks on a trade to send star Frank Clark to KC. The compensation would include a 1st rounder, a 2020 2nd rounder and a swap of mid-rounders. To complete it, the franchise tagged player and Chiefs must hammer out a deal.

why is Ford better in your mind?
Ford cannot set an edge, stop the run or stay healthy.
Clark can do all of the above, and get to the passer. He is also younger, and doesn't have a history of back issues. Ford, played two good years out of 5, during his contract years. Clark has consistently gotten better every year. [Reply]
It's a solid trade. You give up a very late round 1st, and NEXT years 2nd for one of the premier players at his position which also happens to be a position of need. He's only 26 years old, durable, and has a high motor. You could easily miss with the 29th pick, or get a guy that takes 3 years to become what they are getting right now. [Reply]

But he's like at least 85% percent of a Frank Clark, so in result this trade suckkkssssss. That line of thinking is the best thing I've seen all day. :-) [Reply]
"Clark managed an impressive 64 on his own, which is 16 more than Houston tallied but 13 fewer than Ford’s total. Pro Football Focus graded Ford as the best pass rusher in 2018. Houston ranked fifth. Clark ranked outside the top-20."
Pff obviously isn't the end all be all, but their rankings stem from an entire season of advanced data instead of one offsides play.
Anyone who thinks this was a good move, is a moron. [Reply]

The #Chiefs weren't finding a player like Frank Clark at 29 overall. He's a potential top 5 EDGE in the entire NFL, young and very very proven. [Reply]
