Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy! [Reply]

It takes a ton of confidence to publically say shit like that when the guys played one game.
I knew all along that the bullshit coming out of his mouth about Mahomes being waaaaay behind coming out of preseason was bullshit and didn't match what I saw with my own eyes. Theirs too. hey, they got a nice haul for Alex so I guess that was the plan [Reply]

One way it wasn't bullshit is that he wasn't close to being 80%+ better on knowing what reads WRs were supposed to make and thus know where they were supposed to be running a route. [Reply]

The only report that came out about him being behind was during rookie minicamp....
In which he probably was....considering it was his first time ever throwing the ball as an NFL QB.
Every report thereafter was about how quickly he was progressing. [Reply]

Mahomes was the better player from day one. Improvisational skills alone render that shit moot. [Reply]

No, right after he shined against Tennessee in his first preseason start, Veach came out with that "There's no gray area....it's not even close....blah...blah..blah..." That was after the LAST PRESEASON GAME after that performance got everyone hyped on Mahomes even more. They had to shut it down because they obviously were going to stick with Alex no matter what. Just glad we got a nice haul but it was boring as fuck watching Alex all year. [Reply]

Throwing the ball 80% of the time to the flats is not better. [Reply]
When you've got a rookie, you don't tell him that he is the greatest thing ever. The kid has to know that no matter how much talent he has, he has got lots to learn and improve. I think that's part of what Veach had in mind when he said Mahomes was light years behind Smith before the season began. [Reply]
