TLO 07:03 PM 01-19-2020
Well Chiefs vs Packers is what I had hoped for, but that's not happening.

Let's talk about Chiefs vs 49ers here.

Week 6 was a long time ago, mother****er. The KC defense has improved and coalesced over the course of the season. It's not like someone went and picked out certain games to "fit the narrative". We added Pennel and Suggs and shit changed. You're a ****ing dumbass if you don't understand that.

Please rabble i beg you to relax. Your blood pressure will rose if you don’t.

I’m over the stats convo. You guys got better towards the end of the year because of “change” we got worse towards the end because of injuries. Who cares. All that means nothing in 2 weeks. Move on. On to the next subject.

So early in the year, they were still feeling out the scheme, and the staff is still identifying player's abilities and how to best utilize their strengths and neutralize their weaknesses. It's a culture change that hasn't taken hold yet.

Then there were the injuries. Frank Clark played the first half of the season unable to feel his hands. Chris Jones missed several games. We lost a starting DE, and then we lost his back-up. We had to play a rookie DT, and early on, he was getting whooped. But every week he got a little better.

The turnaround started against Denver, who'd won two straight and was running the ball well. We lost Mahomes early in that game, and we still smoked them with a guy who was coaching high school football a couple of weeks before.

The defense was getting it.

They shut down Dalvin Cook. It looked like they were on a roll, it was all clicking. Then they ran into Derrick Henry in week 10 (game 10) and were a little less disciplined and it cost them. Henry ran for 180 (like 68 on one play that was just a gap discipline issue) and we lost.

But the lesson was learned. And it has not happened since. Eight straight games. That's half a damned season.

And we grabbed Pennel mid-season. And we grabbed Suggs, who still has some gas left in the tank. And Clark is healthy. And a healthy Jones is the best interior lineman in the NFL not named Aaron Donald. And rookie Saunders knows what he's doing now. And Pennel is an immovable object. And Derrick Nnadi is tough too. And Kpassgnon had two sacks last week.

It was always going to take some time to install a new defense with like 8 new starters and have it perform well.

It took about half a season.

So yeah, looking at things the back half of the season is how you SHOULD view this defense.

I guarantee you Shanahan will.

If you don't, well, that's just you being stupid.
He's a smarmy fucking prick, Chris.

Backhanded passive-aggressive bullshit.

Fuck him.

Who give a fuck about the Colts game?

We are on an 8 game win streak. We have outscored teams during this winning streak 230 to 126.

Over the last 8 games, we are averaging 28.75 ppg and only giving up 15.75 ppg.

He calls that "choosing games to fit a narrative", Halfcan. He's a smarmy prick.

Yep, they are pretty close to the same Punter this year for sure.

well...yeah.

you know what he is?

he's what we used to be.

Before.

Before Patrick happened.

coming up with all these reasons why your team with your mediocre QB is going to beat the Best Quarterback in the Game.

We didn't want to listen either. We always had our reasons why were going to win, and shock the world.

And it never happened.

Only way they win if we monkey-fuck it all away.

And they know it.

Man. 49ers front better hold their water in this one. Mahomes drew them offsides 2 or 3 times in the first half alone last season, and they are players who are on the team now. That hard count is deadly...

EDIT: At lease one more in the 2nd half...

Here’s the thing, nobody cares about those stats. It’s almost like you’re trying to convince yourself that you are this new and improved defense.

Personally I don’t care. Football is played in the field.

We were told that Alex Smith or last years defense was “good enough” even though our eyes and the stats said otherwise. Reid was always good enough to still win even with those problems on our team. The TruFans tried to argue that “Alex needs more weapons” and “Houston, Ford, and Berry are the backbone of the defense”. We’ve been having this argument for YEARS. You’re just now getting to see it.

Now, our defense has come around. The recent stats back it up. Our eyes also back it up.

It’s not surprising that a fan base that hasn’t seen a Super Bowl in 50 years would be excited to see their team come full circle and finally be able to have faith the FO and coaching staff.
