Not saying the guy is a stud. He’s a 4/5 pitcher from what I see. I don’t understand the deep stats like you do but how can pitching 5 games, 28 innings or so be batted ball luck? [Reply]

this BS I have to stand by my guys is complete BS. It’s a performance based business. What can you do for the team TODAY. Not what you did for the team in 2013. Schildt is maddening. Is it this way on other teams? [Reply]

Because it's an exceptionally small sample size.
If your sequencing is right, you can give up four baserunners every three innings and not have anyone come around to score.
Remember all those series we used to play against the Pirates in 2013-15 where guys would hit lasers and their OF would track everything down? That's 27 innings right there. You wouldn't say the offense is bad because they only scored a few runs a game when balls were hit right at someone or the defenders were making outstanding plays, just unlucky. [Reply]

Wacha is terrible, but he's actually better in MLB than Cabrera has been in AAA. Cabrera is fucking awful; they only promoted him because Mo was looking for validation for the self-rape the Pham trade was. [Reply]
Have some friends who are Astros fans and their take is he is super meh even though his traditional numbers still look good enough. He doesn’t strike out many and last year gave up a league leading number of hits without a ton of innings. Still the cost is only cash and could have the switching league run which is also balanced with hasn’t pitched this year. [Reply]

I was actually looking at his AAA stats last night wondering why he was starting while also being bummed out by lack of return from trading Pham. [Reply]

thanks d.
Needed shitty reliever of course and you could pay Goldschmidt a shitload more to have the same WAR as Voit right now. Hamas summarized some of the recent trade disasters not long ago. [Reply]

thanks. miles. congrats on the win tonight.
how many times can a team challenge a call per game. [Reply]
We are 3 games into playing 20 games in a row. On the schedule it’s 21 in a row but we had the rainout on Wensday. I thought a team can only play 20 games in a row without a day off. [Reply]
