And it technically isn’t “my” number with respect to the percentage that require hospitalization or ventilators. It’s what the government and WHO are saying. But I agree with you, let’s hope they’re wrong.
Yes, I am. What we think will be in 1-2 weeks is speculation without anyway to factor in certain variables. And while there is a place for that it's not where I choose to focus.

2 weeks ago we were told we were 2 weeks away from being Italy. Now we are hearing in 2 weeks we will know X. And 2 weeks after that we will know Y.

But that doesn't mean the numbers as they aren't today aren't really the numbers they are today. If you get my point.

@aljwhite: This is the best and clearest explanation of why people need to stay at home you could ever wish to see https://twitter.com/C4Dispatches/sta...172359/video/1

@LeBatardShow: ICYMI: Last week we spoke to Infectious Disease Specialist @celinegounder about the COVID-19 pandemic. It was a sobering interview in which Dr. Gounder details the important steps we need to take to prevent the spread of the virus.

Okay, I had not heard that but pneumonia is not an automatic reason to be admitted into the hospital. My Son has had it twice since Christmas and never was admitted. My Mother has had it 4 times and was admitted one of the four.

So on the surface I would have to agree with him if by mild he means you aren't being admitted to the hospital.

As soon as enough countries start pulling out, it will be over. Ultimately, it's not Japan's decision. It's everyone's.

Hell, if we drop out it may be over. Definitely if us and another major player bail.

Our Govenor (CO) tightened the restrictions today. He is asking for businesses to cut their staff by 50% if non essential. If the normal work environment keeps people safe distance then no change needed. When he was asked who was going to enforce this, he said ( I shit you not) "the grim reaper".

"Polis said there isn't an enforcement authority over that order, but said the enforcement should come from the greatest authority of all, the Grim Reaper."

Don't get mad because I am not pretending you do otherwise.
Of course I'm going to post comments once in a while. I've got an opinion just like everyone else but honestly I don't know shit about this subject. It's all just an uneducated guess/comments on my part. At least I admit it.

However, medical experts all say the best thing we can right now is social distancing which you never seem to mention when you post the low death rate of the CoronaVirus. Try to be objective once in a while. You might enjoy it more than you think.

Shit's getting serious now . . .

"Belgium Health Minister Maggie de Block has put a ban on all non-essential sexual activities of persons 3 or greater in indoor areas.
Health Minister de Block announced today that, effective immediately, “non-essential” sexual activities of 3 people or more are banned in Belgium to combat the spread of COVID-19.

De Block said she was forced to act swiftly because of Belgium’s reputation as being the “beer-drinking” and “group sex capital of Europe.”

Ok do not usually follow pandemics so I have a question. We are told a vaccine might be 12 -18 months out, but read we had one for H1N1 after 6 months. So what accounts for the longer timeframe compared to H1N1?

That doesn't shock me. I think we have had this far longer than we think. I also think it's no coincidence this is happening at the same time we are having one of the worst flu seasons we have ever seen and pneumonia cases are higher.

Then again it could be a huge coincidence. I just would not be shocked if people have had this for months and chalked it up to the flu.
