We don't really have one of these yet, so figured we could use this as a place to discuss potential free agent acquisitions and what we would like to look for them to bring in.
If any of you guys are interested, heres a good place to do some research.
Source tells @TheAthleticDFW DeMarcus Lawrence seeks $22.5 million in average salary. Cowboys at $20 million on average. Here’s our report from NFL owners meetings: https://t.co/ezcQivhygu

You're not locking in Clowney for Dee Ford money. [Reply]

I said best case, really not meaning best case I guess. It was stoopid of me. Does Clowney get lawrence type 22 mil money? I could see an argument for yes and no.

I don't think we should pay it plus the draft picks.
We can argue if he's worth 22 a year but I don't think we should do that deal... [Reply]

Ya I think you lump the 2 of them together.
22 is very high end scale, yes. But if the Chiefs paid ransom in a trade to land a Clowney than I think it would be real difficult to try and bargain the AAV down. [Reply]
Listening to sirius NFL yesterday and they were saying the Chiefs had stated, they could take the field today if necessary. That they were set as of now.
Indicated from the conversation that the Chiefs were done in Free Agency until after the draft.
So, we probably have a long wait until the draft boys. [Reply]
