I used to feel that way until Khabib. Started to respect watching him just maul other really good wrestlers. Almost every MMA fighter is a highly-skilled wrestler but those dudes take it to another level. I respect the hell out of it, but I'd rather watch a pure jiu jitsu match. The chaining moves to gain better positions/submissions is more entertaining than shoot a double, sit in mount, and throw rabbit punches until you feel you can ground and pound. [Reply]
Tough to see it end like that for Frankie, but you kind of figured that’s how that fight would go. Guy had a ton of talent and heart and is a HOF, but he took a lot of shots to the head over 2 decades. Hopefully he doesn’t have much long term damage. [Reply]
