I'm up to a 36 waist - thanks to Del Taco and a few others. As well as eating pretty poorly over the last year, or so.
I'm on a strict regimen now and doing a three week diet and then merging it into a new way of life. I have a history of eating well (normally) - but, again; have been quite clumsy over the past year or so.
My plan is to limit myself to 1100 calories a day the first week, then up to 1200 the second week, and then stay on or around 1500 calories as the norm, with one cheat day per week.
After the third week - I'll get back into some sort of exercise, which too will be part of the new 'way of life'
In this thread I'd like to discuss food ideas for assisting myself (& others) with weight loss.
Since Monday I've not gone above 1100 calories/daily - I have eaten oatmeal, oranges, bananas, hard-boiled eggs and in closing, in the evening - I'll eat one of the Chick Fil A Spicy, grilled chicken wraps w/o dressing (350 cals)
I'm open to ideas - but the goal is - finding items that are a little less common and more creative.
Please assist at your leisure - anyone else need assistance or interested in jumping aboard, I welcome it.
I started the diabetic diet (done it before with success and then... well). I'm not diabetic, but it's about portion control. It doesn't eliminate any foods which can be a problem with cravings. [Reply]
I've been able to stay at 170 for a while, even eating like dog shit, by using intermittent fasting. Eat for 8 hours a day. Drink a ton of water, and eat a lot of fibrous veggies.
Workout 2-3 times a week for an hour while doing the above, and you'll be where you want to be. [Reply]
I've been consuming 2000 cals a day, 160g protein, 100g fat and 150 or so carbs. 2 HIIT workouts a week, a few days of low intensity on the treadmill after lifting for about 20 mins. I do upper body lifting 2 days and Lower 2 days. 90-100 ounces of water a day and cut out drinking for the month of January. [Reply]

I lost 85 pounds since March 22nd 2017 just following the rule of more calories burned than calories taken in. I counted all the calories I took in.
I did things like drink (4-5) 32oz Powerade Zero instead of things like Simply Lemonade with all the sugar. Limit alcohol. Eliminate desserts at every meal. Watch for hidden calorie bombs like salad dressing. (one of the worst offenders). Try to stay away from all the corn syrup enhanced products.
There is no special diet or magic pill or shortcut to lose weight. It's called sacrifice.
Also there is a difference between simple pure weight loss and weight loss with exercise to get toned. The exercise will speed up the weight loss.
All the "special" meal replacement drinks and diet bars are basically a waste of money and useless calories. [Reply]
I drink about a gallon to a gallon and a half of water a day. Breakfast is original oatmeal with nothing in it, 3 hard boiled eggs (I eat one with the yolk, the other two whites only). The oatmeal and water keeps you full. Lunch and dinner vary day to day.
I like my booze, but I have to sacrifice it to unpickle my liver and to lose weight. Haven’t had a drink since New Year’s Eve. Cutting out sugar is very important.
Been working out every day since New Years. 40 minutes of cardio and lifting. I’ve lost 7 pounds and my clothes are getting lose and most importantly endorfens are kicking in and I feel great. I plan on having my first drink next week or the week after.
I do this shit every year, but I never gain so much weight where it’s not manageable.
