Crazy looking lake in Rocky Mountain National Park (Lake Haiyaha). There was a major rock slide in the valley above it in June that released a bunch of minerals that are now suspended in the lake. It's something to see live.

I'm at a vendor event at Arrowhead today. We're in the press box level and this is the view. We get a VIP tour of the stadium a little later.

I've been to Grand Cayman twice, dove both times and it has THE CLEAREST WATER I ever saw. Better than the Great Barrier Reef, Cozumel, Fiji and Bora Bora. 125-150 foot visibility is hard to beat.

Saw a lot of what you have, turtles, sharks, 600 pound Jewfish, parrotfish in sleeping cacoons at night, and the coolest thing was Tarpon Alley: 600-700 big tarpon of 40-80 pounds all floating in between coral heads at 70-100 feet as the current rush through their gills.

You need to try the central Red Sea, it's water rivals what we had last week.

SHARM EL SHEIKH in Egypt is supposed to great. :-)

I also think Hurghada is nice.

I would love to dive in the Philippines, Vietnam, Maldives, Greece, Italy.

A little farther south in the Red Sea, Port Ghalib, is even more clear than the Sharm El-Sheikh/Hurghada area. The latter is pretty clear, but since it's near the Gulf of Suez, there tends to be more current in the area, thus a little less clarity.

I have friends on their post-retirement tour of the world (and doing it right!!!), who just left Indonesia (from the P.I. to Bali) and did the Raja Ampat Aggressor II, who are now in the Maldives on the Maldives Aggressor II. I haven't heard from them since the Maldives trip started (no signal out there!!!), but if it's anything close to the experiences they had in Indonesia it will be epic. Yes, they are, like me, fans of the Aggressor fleet. Not the least expensive, but very high standards are maintained across their entire fleet.

I've dove quite a few times in Italy and Greece, well, "The Med", and when it wasn't work, it was AMAZING too.

So yes, go to all those places, they all amazing and each offers something slightly different than the other.

Where in Vietnam are you wanting to dive? I dove in two different locations (by my memory, near Nha Trang and near Da Nang) in Vietnam and both were terrible. Low vis, no corals, no animals.

Not the greatest visibility, but better than many places I've been. But there is definitely some reef too.

Nha Trang = ~ 12°11'20.0"N 109°12'44.7"E

Hah- I think that is the boat I was on (Rainbow Divers)! Went in early April 2018. It was very underwhelming.

Go wherever you want but if I am going to fly 8,000 miles to dive SE Asia I would go to Thailand 100 times out of 100. Much better vis and many more animals.

By the way, one of my very favorite places to dive is low vis, not much coral but there are tons of animals. If you have never been I would recommend Coiba (Pacific side of Panama). It is remote and raw and rustic (there is literally nothing on the island but a ranger station) but you will see a ton.
